Virtual Cupid (OKCupid) brought Mitchell and Tina together during a worldwide pandemic. This was what Tina(Bay Area native) thought the shape of Massachusetts(where Mitchell is from) looked like on their first date.

After a few virtual dates playing boardgames and staying up all night chatting, they met at a park for a picnic. Date after date, they found their dates lasting longer and longer.

They decided living together wasn't enough, they needed responsibilities together. Tina wanted a cat but Mitchell wanted a dog. So they compromised and became dog parents.

When they aren't traveling, they like to build Lego sets. Instead of clashing, one finds and preps the Lego pieces for the next step while the other builds . They trade off every few episodes of anime shows in the background. It's the only way they finish watching anything together.

Before their next planned vacation, Mitchell sneakily planned what seemed to be a normal weekend picnic at a local park and asked Tina to marry him. She said, "Yes"! Even though they had picked a ring together ahead of time, it was up to Mitchell to surprise her. And she was surprised.
